Thanks Ian. It's fair comment. I hope it's clear that I'm not attributing anything like traditional kingship or power to Jesus but rather subverting the concept - as Jesus himself did! The subversion of an out-dated concept can be as powerful as discarding it altogether, I think. And whether we like it or not, the language of kingship is deeply embedded in the New Testament. That said, I do rather like the idea of a kin-dom!
Julie, thank you so much. I am M(!!) and we have just used this precious resource with our daughter on Zoom. What a rich time it gives us each week, especially as our family is in great pain at present. And the richness continues through the week as different bits stay with us. I also lead guided prayer sessions twice a month and often use something from this. Thank you for this gift.
